Semi-Analytical Solution for Elastoplastic Deflection of Non-Prismatic Cantilever Beams with Circular Cross-Section

چکیده
A solution for the elastoplastic deflection of cantilever beams with linearly variable circular cross-section loaded by shear force at free end, which is suitable practical use, has not yet been developed. semi-analytical such a problem proposed in this paper. The involves made homogenous and isotropic materials bilinear strain hardening behavior. Bernoulli–Euler formula used determining elastic deflection. However, plastic domain material behavior, differential equation beam bending does have closed form. Therefore, an incremental procedure curvature plastified region suggested. Deflection calculated via integration approximated function curvature. validated using experimental results seismic energy dissipation device components selected as sample real engineering system. Also, validation done finite element analysis six different models varying geometric characteristics. satisfying agreement between subsequent numerical herein achieved, confirming its reliability.
